Our History

2007
The Beginning
Stockton Sportability FC was formed in 2007 after I (Chris Homer) was asked to provide football opportunities for adults with learning difficulties.

First Training Sessions
We started off training at Stockton Sixth Form College and a group of about 8 players came along to the first training session.

New Training venue
After a while we then moved to Bishopsgarth School for our training sessions and we were there for a couple of years.

Current training venue
The club really began to grow when we moved our sessions to Northfield School and that has been our home for training ever since.

Our first league
After years of training once a week we then joined the North East Ability Counts League and began to play in competitive tournaments on a monthly basis.

Growing fast
The club has grown and grown over the years and we now have over 35 players registered. 4 of the original players are still with the club. We are all very proud of the club and it provides an inclusive environment which gives opportunities that our players deserve.
